Diet & Exercise  –
Were the the first major changes I made after my diagnosis, guided by the book Anticancer: A New Way of Life by David Servan-Schreiber, a French physician, psychiatrist, and neuroscientist who battled brain cancer himself for nearly 20 years before passing from recurrence in 2011 at age 50.  He stressed that combining an anticancer diet with regular physical activity—like walking, running, or any movement that fits your life—strengthens the immune system, helps clear toxins, reduces inflammation, and supports the body’s natural defenses against cancer. I immediately started implementing his suggestions. Walking and then running, and finally strength training.  It took a while but it is very empowering to see the changes that can occur even at my age. |

Yuka App — A game-changing tool for spotting hidden chemicals and additives in everyday products. Scan a food or cosmetic product’s barcode, and Yuka instantly deciphers ingredients, flags potentially harmful ones (like endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, or irritants)—all based on independent, science-backed analysis with no brand influence or ads. It’s dumbfounding what we are unwittingly consuming, hidden behind the chemical names on our labels. Download it free: Yuka Official site: yuka.io.

Autophagy & Fasting —your body’s natural “cellular cleanup” process—and fasting are at the very top of my list for supporting recovery and whole-body health. They help clear damaged cells, reduce inflammation, and give your system a break from constant processing, which aligns perfectly with addressing root causes rather than just managing symptoms.

Watch“Fasting For Survival Lecture by Dr Pradip Jamnadas” It’s a classic video from The Galen Foundation and Dr. Jamnadas takes the difficulty out of fasting with his smart humor and good advice.

Breathwork moves lymph fluid around (the diaphragm acts like a pump for the lymphatic system, helping clear toxins and waste). Fascinating information is available about breathwork.  Some of my favorites are the Buteyko method website which is filled with great information—here’s the official site: https://buteyko.com.
